For nearly three decades, Jason McDonald has operated his local barber chair in Ward 8. In a barber shop, there are no filters or politicians' speeches — only working parents, small business owners, commuters, and seniors speaking candidly about their daily lives.
Over 27 years, Jason listened as neighbours shared the exact same struggles year after year: endless construction gridlock along Eglinton Avenue, skyrocketing municipal fees, delayed buses, and a distant City Hall that seemed completely deaf to the needs of everyday residents.

Jason is running for City Councillor because Ward 8 deserves a representative who answers directly to the community — not property developers, municipal lobby groups, or downtown bureaucratic elites.
As a small business owner, Jason understands fiscal discipline. When a small business makes mistakes, it pays for them. Yet when City Hall contractors delay transit projects by years and double their budgets, City Hall hands them bonuses while passing the bill to Ward 8 taxpayers.
